Ledger & Quill (L&Q) is
the friends and alumni support organization of the undergraduate and graduate
programs at the DePaul University School of Accountancy and Management Information Systems. Established in 1972, it
stands today as one of the largest accounting alumni groups in the nation, with June 2003
membership numbering close to 2000.
L&Q serves DePaul by providing resources
necessary to continue the School’s development to pre-eminence. Through the
generosity of its members, L&Q provides annually full tuition scholarships,
transfer student scholarships, the L&Q Alumni Distinguished Professorship,
general support of the School’s four student groups, its technological
capabilities and development, special programs, and activities of the DePaul
University School of Accountancy. L&Q also provides major social events for
members and friends, a biannual newsletter, as well as practitioner conferences
for the business community in Chicago. Ledger & Quill membership is open to
anyone sharing our goals, and contributing to Ledger & Quill or the School Ledger & Quill is governed by a Board, meeting bianually to review and oversee its programs and activities, finances, and implementation of its long-range plans.
