Twentieth Anniversary Fred Lang Competition and Reception!
This year's Fred Lang Student Competition is set for Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 3:00-5:00pm, in room 8005 of the DePaul Center. An invitation is extended to all past Lang participants--students and judges--to participate in this year's competition, or enjoy the reception following the event. All-School, All-Group Awards Reception III
The School's third annual All-School, All-Group, All-Awards Reception is set for Thursday, May 24, 2012, 5:30--7:30pm, at the Standard Club. Participating firms have been sent a pre-notification, and invitations will be issued in April. The annual event celebrates the School's six student groups, their top students, and our many firm and corporate supporters. The event is sponsored and hosted by the School's student groups, and Ledger & Quill is pleased to serve as a co-sponsor.

School offers fully-online CPA Review Program
The College and the School of Accountancy are pleased to announce that the DePaul CPA Review course is now being offered online. Taught week-by-week using a combination of video, text, downloadable content, quizzes and discussion, students will never need to be online at a specific time. The online program is ideal for working CPA candidates looking for thorough, flexible exam preparation as well as the quality and rigor of the DePaul CPA exam review and review faculty. The program provides up to 8 semester hours, and also includes discounts on Wiley Online CPA Review Tools.
Simply put, the School of Accountancy CPA Review includes over 100 hours of video lecture (allowing you to watch, study and revisit), uses focused preparation from expert professors, offers the resources of a top-ranked university, and is taught by the faculty behind the best-selling review manual to help you pass the exam.

And our newest offering to members--an email General Journal--will be issued to those members whose email addresses we have. The newsletter is more timely than the print issue (we're considering a quarterly issue), delivered right to your inbox, and far less expensively than print-and-mail--which is good news for our scholarship capacity! Current members of L&Q can easily subscribe: "Talk to L&Q," simply enter your name, the word "SUBSCRIBE," leave your email, and it's done. Ledger & Quill is the friends and alumni philanthropic organization in support of the School of Accountancy and MIS of DePaul University. Membership is open to all who support our goals through a contribution to Ledger & Quill, the School of Accountancy, or any of our many affiliated scholarship and professorship funds.
Established in 1972 by 19 dedicated alumns, Ledger & Quill is now in its fourth decade of service to DePaul University and the School of Accountancy. Ledger & Quill is one of the largest accounting alumni organizations in the nation, and one of the largest accounting networks in the Chicago area.
"About" is a summary of who we are and what we do, both for our students and our members. Start by reading the President's Message from our current president, Jim Robbs. If you're new to L&Q, look over our "Under the L&Q Umbrella": we are confident that few alumni organizations provide as much support and resources to our students and faculty.
"News and Events" is, as expected, what's going on at DePaul, the School, and Ledger & Quill; if you used our previous website, consider "News and Events" your starting page. Our "Calendar" is, well, a calendar of events. Members should check "News and Events" for information on upcoming membership activities.
"Students Enter Here" is for our students, and provides information on L&Q and the School, and especially scholarship information.
