The Accounting Studies Program (ASP) at the School of Accountancy & MIS of DePaul University provides a part-time, non-degree course of study designed to provide students who hold appropriate undergraduate degrees with the needed (and desired) accounting education component of the requirements to sit for the CPA Exam in Illinois. The program is designed for degreed adult returning students interested in entering the accounting profession.

The Accounting Studies program is a course of study designed to provide individuals with entry-level capabilities and fulfillment of the accounting component of current Illinois C.P.A. education requirements. The program is convenient, flexible, and cost effective, provides sequenced coursework adequate in breadth and scope to provide professional accounting competencies, and offers students a wide range of support services appropriate for their goals.

Your studies are based on the core curriculum of the School of Accountancy & MIS, one of the nation's largest and most diversified professional programs. Classes are available every academic quarter at DePaul (but with limited offerings, Summers 1 and 2), in multiple sections, and usually in both day and evening sessions. Evening sessions in particular are helpful, permitting candidates to meet their other important personal and job-related obligations. Classes are offered at DePaul Center, centrally located in the Loop and easily accessible by most forms of transportation.

Due to the specificity of Illinois educational requirements for CPA exam elibility, students interested in this progam should contact the program advisor before seeking admission.
